False Starts
Apr. 8th, 2007 08:47 pmDid I say I was going to get back to other work this month? Wrong. I got back my manuscript from the publishers with a bucket of notes from the copyeditor, so I've been going through all of that. Then I have to get some signatures for photo releases. Maybe after next week I can actually return to the other book. Meanwhile, I have to work on this one.
Speaking of work that needs doing, I must finish dealing with my taxes.
Speaking of taxes, my column from Friday was about death and taxes.
Speaking of death, it still hasn't caught
sylvantechie, which we celebrated this weekend in pleasant fashion.
Speaking of this weekend, I also attended the artists' potluck, which was sparse due to the holiday but pleasant nonetheless.
Speaking of artists, I joined
porcupinemoon and J to watch a movie and then play the virtue game. Virtue Game? Well, basically, we booted up an old copy of Ultima IV, and then just repeatedly went through the character creation process, with all the questions of opposed virtues. It was really fun, even if I felt like we were Ned Flanders' kids. But seriously, if you've never played one of the Ultima series with the virtue cards, it's worth playing just for the beginning. The heck with Jack Thompson; if more kids played Ultima, we'd live in a better world.
