So, as [livejournal.com profile] kassrachel posted a few weeks ago, some people have taken on the enormous project of translating the entire Oxford English Dictionary into limerick form. I thought this was a pretty cool idea, and haven't gotten to the point where it controls my life yet, but I did suggest it to the Empress of the Style Invitational, who is running a modified version as this week's contest. Now, I am consumed for this week, no doubt writing dozens of limericks for words that begin with ai- through ar-. I encourage you all to enter the contest - go read it, send limerickical (limerickial?) definitions to losers@washpost.com before Monday, and hopefully see your name in the paper a month hence.

Meanwhile, the hot sauce that Charlie gave me as a present over two years ago continues to create entertaining situations.
