After about a month of my "early new years resolution", I've decided to abandon the "Do Everything Every Day" plan. Some days I just won't be able to catch up with friends, or some days I may not have any inspiration for useful writing, and that's okay. I don't want goals to start making me unhappy trying to complete arbitrary tasks. But I plan to continue being mindful of my goals in a more general sense, that even if everything doesn't happen every day, that every week I should be sure to write, game, walk, and see friends, and that any given day I will do at least some of these. So this will be the last update on that particular declaration of intent from last month.
If you didn't see Tuesday's Daily Show, John Stewart had a lovely segment talking about the whole gun violence issue. And he just looked worn out from talking about it. Which is sort of I'm feeling after the latest school shooting today. Was considering another column about it, but I'm just about out of funny on the topic, and anything non-funny I have to say has already been said.
