Nom nom nime chow

lynnini was going to be in town, and I knew she'd appreciate nime chow. But I slightly overdid the first batch of beanthreads, and so I made a second batch of beanthreads and we used half of each in the rolls. But then we had tons of extra left, so we made more the next day. But that still left us with more, so finally on the third day we finished all the nime chow ingredients. If only it had lasted five more days, we could have nime chonnukah.
As if that weren't enough incredible food for a week, earlier last weekthe_star_fish also roasted a pork shoulder and we made carnitas. And then we made chicken korma, and massaman beef curry, and enchiladas. And somewhere in there we joined yao_obruni and kassrachel for Thanksgiving. And do you know what? I like food.
I even like crappy mass-produced snack cakes, but as my column this week mentions, some may Twinkie and Fade Away.
