Aside from that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?

I am still having microphone static issues. It is incredibly frustrating. It happens even when I'm not in Audacity, and even if I have the mic muted, which means I must have something set up wrong. But I didn't change any settings since the time it was briefly working a few weeks ago. So I am flummoxed. I've restarted, replugged, reset settings, and cannot seem to eliminate the static. And I have things I need to record.

Other than that, things are going well. the_star_fish is a culinary genius, and while generally I enjoy most things she makes (including last week's stuffed eggplant), the other day's African-inspired fish stew with sweet potato and peanut butter was amazingly good. Got to see some old friends briefly over Labor Day Weekend, and then next week is the fifth annual Alphabetic Boardgame Challenge, for which I am (naturally) excited.
