Generosity
Jul. 20th, 2012 01:33 amSo, last weekend I was home visiting my parents, as my dad was being honored by a charitable foundation for being generous with his time and money. It was a quasi-fancy event, but even amidst all the hoopla, he seemed to be focused on making sure I met a rabbi and a Jewish educator to whom he'd given copies of my book. Which I guess shows that he really is always thinking of others.
Anyway, while I was home I got to visit more expired food and learn a valuable lesson about my own issues, all of which I discuss in this week's column. Also, it mentions an incontinent poodle.
Tonight (Friday) I am off to perform an improv show in Lee, finally having a ride there again. I'm a bit irked that most of my troupe can't be bothered to show up for the North Adams shows, but glad I can join them for this one, at least.
Now I should go work on an interesting project that fell into my lap.
