Comedy for you, food for me.

So, last week's column was about how comedians are just seeking approval. This week's is me trying to be funny with the headline news, and seeking approval.

Been doing some stand-up as well. Got a few practice sessions in at the Lenox open mic this month (a supportive room), and this Saturday evening I'm performing at Bennington Museum for a Chocolate Festival benefit. $25 ticket not only supports PAVE (a non-profit against domestic and sexual violence) and lets you see a comedy show that includes me, but also gives you access to all the chocolate you can eat. Call 802-442-2370 for tickets.

In the past week I've had dreams about a few different old friends that I haven't seen in too long. I miss people. Feeling a bit more disconnected than I'd like, but I have a hard time keeping up with people especially when I don't really have anything to say. Still feel lucky to have such awesome friends though -- sorry some of you aren't doing well, glad some of you are doing good.

Food remains delicious. Last week I made nime chow for my first time, which was awesome and I can't wait to do it again. Between that and the massaman curry D. made, I'm pretty pleased with the big shopping we did at the World Market in Hadley.

Okay I should sleep.
