a brief note
Dec. 8th, 2010 08:14 pmSo, lately I've been feeling a bit discouraged, and sort of tired of fighting in vain. More whinging in person if desired.

the_star_fish, who never fails to make me smile. She used the phrase "gilding the lily" in reference to my plans for tonight's green bean casserole. Which, I should mention, she eyeballed the portions of correctly. I was so sure I was right, she had conditionally agreed to make an LJ post admitting her incorrectitude, only she was, as usual, correct. I also want to point out that this is not a stereotypical "the woman is always right" statement. I disagree with lots of people, many of whom (both male and female) are eventually proven to be wrong. For whatever reason, D. is generally proven to be right. I'm not sure if it's her uncanny sense of spatial relations, or prognosticative prowess, or alien technology. But she just told me it's dinner time, so this post is over, because she's right about that too.
