Stuff that's good
Jul. 31st, 2010 01:35 am* Our last improv show was fantastic. What looked like a packed house; must have been 70 or so people. Since it was theatresports (two teams), our troupe actually ended up playing fewer scenes than usual (since the other team did half). But it was a fun show, and while scoring is pretty much irrelevant (a la Whose Line Is It Anyway), it was still nice to be down a few points going into the final game, and having my rapping garner perfect scores to let RBIT win. What can I say, it was an ego boost.
* I may be bad with directions, but it least it gave me a topic for this week's column.
* Pieces are already starting to fall into place for some of my big projects. I can't want until GTV is finally available for public purchase, and am excited to get working on my rap album, and am meta-excited (read: not yet excited, but excited about the prospect of again being excited) to resume work on a different book.
* Chocolate-covered oreos. Just finished the box tonight. Yum. And loc lac, which I made tonight, and pretty much never get tired of eating.
* Restaurant reviews a-plenty in the Eagle, and finally got another assignment for a book review in the USA Today.
* So, we're watching Heroes S-4 on Netflix. And in today's episode, (no worries, no spoilers) Hiro said he wanted a girl to be the Marle to his Crono. It's a good thing I was on a couch, because if I were in a chair, I would have fallen out of it. I just never expected to see that reference in a mainstream TV show. I was fanboying a little bit, because hey, Chrono Trigger!
