The repeated din of chainsaws and motorcycles from the house across the way fills me with a desire to USE chainsaw WITH motorcycle.
We're watching -- or perhaps I should say mainlining -- the first season of Dollhouse, which definitely drew me in. Starfish has been mocking me a little about it. I find that she has a desire to own TV series(es) on DVD, whereas I am content to merely watch them once. So while she will continue looking for good prices on Dollhouse 2 and West Wing 6 and 7, I will be content to find someone who wants to lend them to us.
Speaking of Dollhouse, I am not my best. The persistent upset stomach, while no longer making me violently ill as it did at the beginning of the week, is a total downer.
Thankfully, I also had an "upper" earlier this week. Roughly once every year or two, a random stranger will contact me about one of my old columns, and it always makes me smile. This time it was about my half-dollar column, from a fellow who is writing to various governmental officials to try to increase circulation of the half and the 2-dollar bill. Is he likely to meet with success? Probably not. But it's always nice to know that people out there are reading what I write and some of them are connecting with it.
