A SERENDIPITY = YID RAP? SEEN IT.

Anagrams on the brain today, for some reason. I put one in my column for this coming weekend. (here's last weekend's, a.k.a. today's, column). Actually, I'd better hurry up and write next weekend's column, because this weekend I won't be around. Instead, I'll be attending Nerdapalooza - a giant nerdy music festival focused on nerdy rap and hip-hop. My plan is to do as much freestyling as possible with as many nerdy rappers as possible, and I may even have a brief guest spot on stage for part of a song I co-wrote long ago.

Meanwhile, performance around town has been good too. A few nights ago I got a phone call saying that the opening act for a big comedian at Mass MoCA had been in an accident, and they needed a replacement pronto. So, I showered and changed into my fancy pants (khakis), and then went to perform a brief 10-minute set (comedy&rap) in front of 200 people. Which was, frankly, sort of awesome, and I need to figure out how I can get people to pay me to perform around here because it's really fun.

Until then, I need to create some music myself. My microphone finally arrived, but with no way to hook it up to the computer. Thankfully, I have generous friends like yaoobruni who know a lot more about this sort of thing than I do, and hopefully once I get back from Nerdapalooza I'll be up and running.

Meanwhile, I should probably go record this week's News In Rap.
