Small Fish, Smaller Pond

I know it's a tiny area, but I like it here in the Shire. Anyway, my column means no offense to all my big-city friends.

Open mic at the Alley was great as usual, at Mission reinforced my belief that we need to start later there (tables in back still eating dinner and talking loudly = not helpful), and on Thursday I'll be doing 5 minutes of stand-up in Rhode Island for a competition. I have admission coupons were anyone planning to be in Providence area anyway, but otherwise feh. I suppose I should try to get booked in Boston at some point, but there's some serious comedy competition there, and I'm frankly not that good yet.

It's pleasant here in my tiny pond, though.
