'Twas the Day After Christmas...

...and the rest of that poem is today's column. Christmas was wonderful. I got to play Android and Dominion with a friend from my gaming group, joined his family and some local artists and the_star_fish for the requisite Chinese buffet (they even have green tea ice cream now) with Crab Rangoon+*, went home to play games (for more about playing board games with your partner, see my new article), and then watched Police Squad. Christmas Day? Pretty damn good.

Also, the_star_fish bought me more shelves at Target because I, er, sort of filled up everything we had and then some with board games. And the new ones are already full. It's not just a house, it's a board game armory.

Today starfish played some Psychonauts (funniest video game ever), we went out for a "stromboli" that was clearly a calzone with an identity crisis, and tsiarxof is scheduled to arrive at any minute, heralding the beginning of a week of festivities with friends who are usually far away. I am very excited.

Perhaps we shall celebrate by eating food and playing board games.


*Crab Rangoon+ is my favorite buffet recipe. I take the crab legs, open them up, get some extra crab, open up the rangoons, and stuff in extra crab so the crab to otherstuff ratio gets corrected. I've made Crab Rangoon++ in the past, but the pineapple was a little harsh last night, so I left it out.
