April is National Poetry Month
Apr. 18th, 2008 01:25 pmIt is. So here is a classic haiku by Willard Espy:
I ku; you ku; he,
She, or it ku; we ku; you
Ku; they ku. Thanku.
Anyway, I'll definitely be producing some rhyme over the course of the next few days. Tomorrow night is the weekly Red Room at Main St. Stage, so I'll be freestyling a rap. And Tuesday evening at 6 is a poetry slam at the North Adams Library, where I'll be doing something new for me -- performing a poem I've written and memorized, instead of making it up on the spot.
If you prefer your poetry without having to leave your seat, just check out my column today. Unless you're too Chicken...
