Free At Last

My manuscript is submitted. My life, as it were, is mine once again.

And now for a list of things I will do in the coming weeks.

Pure fun: Celebrate my NEPA award and finished manuscript by playing new video games and eating food with friends. Will probably have some big dinner; haven't decided on where/when yet, but I'll announce a general invite when I do.

Fun, but work required: Update webpage and blogs, resume entering Style Invitational, write another Ham-STAR song, enter the Tax Rap contest.

Long-term work, less fun: Figure out how to rebuild my RisingPun page so I can update it more easily. Probably involves a blog client and/or site redesign. And eventually, pick up working on the Damocles book, with a goal of finding an agent/publisher by end of year.


Also in the fun category, the next poetry slam is on Spring Street this Friday evening at 6pm, so you Williams folks will find it more convenient to attend. As for me, I'll have to see if I can get out of work early.

You know those 419 scams where Nigerians email you to offer a billion dollars if you send them a thousand? Well, scambaiters write back, and turn the scam around to waste the time of the scammers for your entertainment. And when they convince the scammers to perform the Dead Parrot Sketch, I am entertained.
