Slammin' Noodles

Won the poetry slam last night, with two poems that both went well. My first was a poem about copyright violation, where I stole pieces from everyone else's poem, because I had the good fortune of going last. Unlike the first time I did this, this time it was very well received, and all of the poets were there to hear me send up their poem. My second was a poem about insomnia, which although it included jokes like the corduroy pillow, was done in my traditional "stop every minute and ask the audience for a word" style. Multiple people were shouting out suggestions, so I tried to include them all. For the last word, someone shouted out "muffin" just as someone else shouted out "jesus". I rhymed for 30 seconds about the benefits of the Jesus muffin, concluding that we ought to use them to replace the wafer.

And speaking of combining sentient beings and food, tsiarxof has posted his old 15-second animation of Noodles!. I keep trying to convince him it needs a bad Engrish tagline so it can be a Japanese commercial, but so far he has not acquiesced.
