Spent the weekend in the land of Cleve with my family, which wasn't so bad once I got there because I got to eat some tasty deli food, but boy do I hate air travel. Flights delayed, clogged sinuses becoming very painful during the flight, and extra-screening for me because I look like a terrorist. (Also, I keep referring to the TSA as Theatrics Scaring America and may or may not have loudly been talking about the "Security Theatre" while at the airport.)

During the trip, I made some slightly complex jokes which my family required time and/or hints to understand. My mom asked me, "Do you always make jokes that are too complex for everyone around you?", and I said, "No, all of my friends are incredibly smart." This is true. I know that when you don't laugh at my jokes, it's not because my jokes are too smart for you. It's because you have no sense of hum-- I mean, are too smart for them. And I love you, oh smart friends of mine.

Speaking of how great my friends are, those of you with a Shakespearean bent might enjoy a little project of [livejournal.com profile] mrvoid's called Stick Figure Hamlet. It's exactly what it sounds like. If you want to see the new pages as they're posted, you can friend [livejournal.com profile] sfhamlet.

And speaking of feeds you should friend, [livejournal.com profile] lethandsexnews is up and running, and will update every week with a new tasty newscast for you to go hear. It's much less effort than attending the poetry slam at Cafe Latino tonight, or even dropping by my Thursday Tea tomorrow, though you are of course welcome and encouraged to do all three.
