Mix and Mash
Sep. 5th, 2006 03:36 pmGot to see many people in camping for the weekend. I attended for a day, but left without camping, because I hate camping. Though watching people try to tie down tarps in high wind that kept ripping and blowing away was somewhat entertaining. Then I missed seeing two people I wanted to see because the brunch they held was hours before I woke up. Then
tsiarxof dropped by to show me his latest animation and play Magic for a while.
It appears I may have to go to RI this weekend for research, and I'm not ready at all. I should call lots of people whom I don't know how to contact and set up interviews. Ring Cycle Remixes -- Wagner would roll in his anti-Semitic grave to hear this list of modernized Ring remixes. The top one on the list by David Chong is highly recommended; it's Nerdcore superstars Baddd Spellah on the beats and MC Frontalot on the vocals. You can even vote for your favorite.
The Beachles -- Beach Boys "Pet Sounds" and Beatles "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" albums mashed together. Note: Less an artful mashup, more an interesting audio comparison of the way each pair of songs from the albums fit together.
Italics just made me realize...( Read more... )
