Chicago and general praise of you
Aug. 13th, 2006 09:43 pmHello there Chicagoans. Chicagites? Whoever the hell you people are. I tend to forget where most non-local people live, but at the very least,
phaedrusdeinus, I'm looking at you. Anyway, I'm doing a little writing for a guy named Steve Levy, and he'll be using some of my jokes in the monologue of his upcoming show. Chicago people could go see a live taping, or failing that, catch it on local TV.
Unrelatedly, Lex said tonight he's glad he's not my friend on LJ, because from the last post it doesn't seem as if I like my friends very much. Nothing could be further from the truth. Admittedly, I feel that online communication is a poor substitute for being face to face, but it's much better than losing track of people altogether. And, even if I can't remember where you live, I do still care. I just stopped mentioning it because I feared that repetition would get irritating. I feared that repetition would get irritating. And I feared that repetition would get irritating.
Weekend Successes: 2 profiles written, column written, podcast recorded, cooked quiche-esque item with fresh squash.
Weekend Failures: 2 of 4 slated profiles not written, quiche-esque item slightly burned on sides.
Weekend Guilty Pleasures: Watched many Borat clips online (movie coming in November), played some Fable (And saw a teaser online for a sequel)
Overall, pretty good. Now if only I didn't have work.
