Love and Sex (and Leth)
Jun. 29th, 2006 07:42 pmThis weekend a pair of couples I know are getting married. I bid all of them the best of luck. And many happy leftovers. But my weekend will be more defined by my visitors and the other people I get to see, so I am looking forward to seeing you, visitors and other people.
Although I do love seeing friends, last weekend was the only one this month where I had no plans, and by not leaving the house, I managed to (in addition to slaying countless ogres and a few ettins) be fairly productive on my book. It's nice to be reminded that given a few full days with no other responsibilities, I can actually accomplish some writing. Although I'm not nearly so good at standing up to my writing as warriors like
squirrelhaven.
Played Dungeon Crawl at gaming group last night, and it remains surprisingly addictive. There's an enemy called the kneebiter, whom I decided should be renamed Axl Rose. Speaking of which, Lex and I have our latest newcast up, and Lex exhorts me to say that iTunes users should subscribe to get each week automatically here. Lex added lots of sound, so it's our most bombastic newscast yet.
And on the subject of cool news, I've played with the Nigerian scammers, but I am but a rank amateur compared to this guy. I mean, hot damn, that's like selling invisible ice COD to eskimos.
And now work runs down, and I head off to eat dinner before hosting tea (to which you are invited - and I bought more ice cream!).
