Hate to bring this up
Apr. 11th, 2006 01:02 pmSo, I've been feeling ill for the past few days. Have been attempting to combat it by drinking a lot of tea, and going to bed 4 hours earlier than usual. Even if I haven't been getting any more sleep than usual as a result, I think things are improving. Still, I'm not locked away entirely. I played in a Magic draft where my devastating Glimpse the Milling deck lost in the final round due to bad draws, though I slaughtered the guy in our games for fun later. I went to an art show featuring spiffy work by
ojouchan,
froggish_elf, and R. (still on campus; you can go see it)
Also, went with some cool dude that said we'll view this film with four, film that said dude just made. Keen film; good show.
My latest column is the entirely true story of the day I flew home from my humor writers conference last month.
Upcoming events you may want to attend:
* Thursday I am hosting tea as usual, and if you're reading this on your friends page, you're invited.
* Next week Images is showing "Thank You For Smoking". I haven't seen this movie yet, but I read the book many years ago and loved it, so I'll be going next Tuesday. Maybe you should too.
* The Books are having a concert at Mass Moca on May 6th. I'm going to buy tickets for myself and the elusive
tsiarxof. If you want me to get you tickets (and yes, you do have to pay me back), let me know by tomorrow. I think we get a member's discount, since I work there.
ETA: Tickets will likely run around $14.
