Win a copy of my book!
Jan. 30th, 2005 08:02 pmWas at a celebration of
squirrelhaven's continued existence yesterday, ( which was pleasant. )
It was a lovely evening with good food and friends, all I really think I need to be happy sometimes. We played a round of Oracle, with some uncannily good beginning/ending pairs (What was the best thing about your first sexual experience? Legolas. Why is George W. Bush such a wanker? A tragic allergic reaction to fabric softener.) and the usual fun with questions. (Describe your sexual preferences in one word? Unfulfilled.)
Meanwhilst, February is around the corner, which is the month I've vowed to do something to get publicity for my book. Barnes and Noble remains impossible to reach and hard to work with, so the best I'll ever do will probably be what just happened today: I convinced the Empress of the Style Invitational to offer my book as the first runner-up prize for this week's contest. You should enter.
This is a good start. There are other small things I've written that are finally being printed in non-local papers, which is also a good start. I'll start listing them on RisingPun.com within the next week, if I ever get around to it.
