Dear Barnes and Noble,

Since you've just published my first book, I thought maybe you'd like to help sell some copies. You know, since most of the money would accrue to you given that I get no royalties above my advance. I was wondering if you could do any sort of marketing whatsoever. Or failing that, perhaps sell some books to my local bookstore (or me) at wholesale (or at least some discount from the cover price) so I can have a signing and push the books, if you won't market them. Remember, this all means that you can get money from this here book you published. Plus as the author, I'd love to be able to buy my book for less than cover price.

Thanks,
Seth

Dear Seth,
