O Come, All Ye Heathens...

As some of you may have noticed from the tacky decorations and awful music that reappeared the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas is approaching. This year, like every year, I will be going out for Chinese food on Christmas Eve. And possibly Christmas Day too. Any of you without other plans are encouraged to join me; please let me know if you have any interest. All are welcome, regardless of religious affiliation or current location (just be sure to be in the Shire on Friday and/or Saturday).


In other news:

*I am not posting a wishlist, much as the meme is interesting, because I've realized pretty much everything I want has to do with advancing my writing (publicity for my current book, a publisher for my next book, a humor column, freelance humor gigs, etc.)

*A comment by wavyarms on my use of the word "Conductress" made me post a small comment on my WSO journal that I promised someone I'd link to.

*A few friends (like k_ericson) have pointed me to some articles explaining why CBS isn't running a lovely new commercial by a church preaching tolerance. CBS apparently won't tolerate tolerance.

*And speaking of religious wackos against common sense, if you've heard about the evolution in school textbooks debate, you may be amused by this.


*Cheese remains good.
