So, as my good friend Lex points out, there have been a lot of letters to the editor across America lately praising G.W. Bush. Were you to Google a particular phrase, you might notice a similarity in these letters, and think they came from a central place.

And you'd be right.

G.W.'s website has a page that helps you write your own automatic letter to the editor by giving you up to four paragraphs of pap to choose from, insert them into an email, add your own words, and email them along to up to five of your local papers. This is much easier than composing your own letter, so I took advantage of it. )

I sent my GeorgeWBush.com-created email out to five local papers, and encourage anyone else to take advantage of the fine system they've provided for making it easy to write letters to the editor.

ETA: Apparently there are Talking Points for each topic on the site, the above link being Economy, but there are pages to send pre-fab letters for seven different topics. After watching Outfoxed, one can't help but wonder if the Talking Points are the same ones that Fox decides to pick up.
