Today we attacked the vines. They started it by attacking my house. Fair's fair.
We also made nine pizzas. Well, okay, technically seven pizzas and two calzones. But these pizzas are the tasty. Tonight I sampled the "Margherita" (Fresh mozzerella, fresh basil, fresh tomatoes, well-behaved chicken), the "French Classic" (Pear, Goat cheese, Onion, Sliced Almond) and something I like to call "Invisible Emu" (Apple, Cheddar, Bacon) (Yes, I could have called it ABC, but apple and cheddar pizza will always make me want emu.)
D: "I don't like pear skins."
Me: "I guess I won't buy you that pearskin rug."
We also played the longest board game I own. I keep threatening to trade it away, because it takes fifteen to thirty minutes just to set up, and well over 90 minutes per player. But Android is just neat in its own little (or okay, big) way, and so every once in a while, we drag it out. Even if there would never be time for it as the A-game in an alphabetic weekend of boardgaming.
I forgot to post last week's column. I remembered to post this week's column. I mention that tomorrow night, or technically tonight (Saturday) there is a Red Room at the Main Street Stage. Local people who are not
outsidetheparty or
squirrelhaven should attend. (SEEKRIT message: they, um, may be reading a poem you never want to hear again. I wouldn't attend either, except I'm rapping.)
Also, Breyer's Triple Chocolate ice cream makes some mighty fine rootbeer floats.
