1) Yesterday, [livejournal.com profile] eeblet sent me a necessary link for those of us given to bad jokes and puns.

2) Speaking of those of us, [livejournal.com profile] mrvoid pointed out this prescient 1995 Newsweek article about how the Internet will never catch on.

3) Those who live in CA, like interesting art, or knew Raphael Rosen will want to read his recent article about San Fran's new Leonardo Da Vinci.

4) Finally, if you like asparagus or Shakespeare (or especially the combination thereof), don't miss my column today.

> Those who live in CA, like interesting art,...

I thought you were talking about Art for a second. It was confusing. (Proper nounage.)

Nice asparagus. I liked the forest bit in particular, and I never recall hearing "bowdlerized" before.

Why is Shakespeare always capitalized ShakeSpear? Oh! They're called asparagus spears. Silly google.

That instant rimshot makes me so happy. I have literally spent the last several minutes reciting various and sundry jokes to myself, pushing the red button, and then flailing with glee.

Glee! I'm glad you enjoy it. You can start pressing it after each Style Invitational entry you compose. (I'm trying to start entering every week again).

Yeah, I really need to start doing that again. Three magnets, a t-shirt, and some Freud lollipops just aren't enough! :)

I think what I appreciate most about the Newsweek article is that a typo in the second paragraph has withstood 13 years of editors.

I noticed that, too, and was similarly amused. :)

I've given that article a lot of thought, and finally decided what my favorite thing about it is: that it is now available on Newsweek's website, which means that the very act of reading the article proves it wrong. You don't even have to argue it or mock it or anything. It is the perfect self-defeating argument.

I'm glad I'm characterized as one of your intellectual friends. :p

And the anti-tech article. So amazingly, completely wrong.
