short-term vs long-term

Haiku slam last night was fun. I enjoy the visceral immediate feedback from performing. Writing my column is also acceptable. Larger, longer-term projects, I find I never maintain enthusiasm for. Which is unfortunate, as a few years out, nobody remembers a dozen comedy shows or poetry slams, all I have are my books. Which I never quite seem to enjoy writing.

One thing I do enjoy is eating delicious food in good company. the_star_fish and I are probably off to Espana again tonight, because $15 for three delicious tapas is too good to turn down. (If you have no dinner plans and want to join us, please do let me know.)
