Delicious food while I ignore the haters
Feb. 16th, 2012 01:52 amFor lunch today, I had liverwurst. I remember getting razzed about my liverwurst sandwiches back when I had the job at E-Mail hut. Lunch was good.
For dinner, we went to the new tapas place next to Stop&Shop "Espana". We started with snails, another food that tends to elicit unpleasant reactions from people, but these were the most delicious snails I have ever had -- and I already enjoyed the French-style garlic and butter variety (and, to a lesser extent, cold salad variety) I had tried previously.
And right now, an imported haggis (a word that strikes fear into the hearts of many) is thawing on our counter, ready to be tomorrow night's (okay, technically tonight's now) dinner. I am pretty pleased with things.
Speaking of ignoring the haters, I think many of you will appreciate my Day-after-Valentine's-Day column.
Also, the Providence Journal printed my epic limerick about the school prayer banner case, but it's in their e-edition so it's more work than one click to read. I realize it's too much work for most people and that's totally cool, but for anyone who wants to see it you can go to ProJo e-Edition, go to the back issue for Sunday, 2/12, and jump to page B10.
