Wrong Write
Apr. 23rd, 2011 12:54 amI've been writing a lot lately, but am still a bit behind on what needs be writ. I'll get it all done (I always do), but I foresee not a lot of sleep in the next week or two.
My column this week is about National Poetry Month, but (at least online) they destroyed my formatting, so the poems (especially the haiku) do not work as they should.
No matter. I'm still writing daily poems for the WordXWordFestival website, and today's poem is about some opinions that I once posted here, and the general reaction I got.
And as long as I'm talking about politics, last night I was reading lots of political stuff again, and found myself returning to an article I'd read a few years ago about the War on Pleasure. The idea itself isn't original, of course, but I found the article really incisive, and I think it's stuck around in my mind because it's really spot on.
Speaking of TS Eliot, some friends of mine have been having a sucky month, so I hope that all of you are having as pleasant an April as possible.
