Happy days are here again
Feb. 18th, 2011 03:10 amOr I guess, technically, still. It is still insane to me, when I stop to think about it, that I am so generally content with my life. It just seemed like such a preposterous improbability, and now here I am. It almost makes me want to open a life coaching business, only those largely rely on marketing yourself, which is not my specialty. (Also positive attitudes, which also no. Although I do honestly think I could give all sorts of advice and support that would drastically improve people's lives if they followed it. But I bet most people think that.)
Anyway, even if I am bad at self-marketing, other people participating in events with me must have marketing juju. Because tonight we're doing a Comedy Night (stand-up and improv) at Main Street Stage. And somehow, it is already sold out! This is crazycakes. The improv troupe rarely sells out even after walk-ins, and often plays to half-empty houses. So for all the seats to be claimed, before the night of? Is unheard of. I am really hoping this is the start of great success for the comedy nights at MSS, which are slated to occur monthly. I would love to have to tell people next month to reserve their tickets in advance.
And, speaking of happy days, I encourage you all to forget about Valentine's Day (not only because it is past this year, but in general) and start celebrating some much awesomer actual February holidays.
Hoodie-Hoo.
