Almost Funny

So, the open mic tonight was not my best set ever. It wasn't bad, and people were still laughing for much of it, but I just wasn't as good as I feel I should be. My best line, alas, came as a wiseass comment during someone else's set. The guy onstage was doing a joke about the assassination of President Lincoln, and nobody laughed. So I yelled out, "Too soon!"
