Give yourself happiness for the holidays
Dec. 15th, 2008 03:18 amMy column from last Friday was based largely on this story about a British Medical Journal study that found happiness is contagious through third-degree friends. And sure, you could argue correlation versus causation, but the fact remains that if your friends and their friends and their friends are happy, you're more likely to be happy.
So why not get yourself the gift of happiness by spreading some around? If you're looking for last-minute gifts, my holiday gift guide has lots of good options to buy from my friends, for your friends, thus doubly increasing happiness in your network.
I, personally, have no need of material goods as gifts. But if you wanted to get me something for the holidays, I'd really appreciate it if you told a few friends about GodToVerse.com. Your pastor, rabbi, priest, fellow congregation members, religious friends and co-workers, or anyone else who might enjoy seeing the Torah/Bible in rhyme. I'm trying to get some interest in the site before my final publication push, so I figure anything helps.
And if there's something I can do to improve your happiness -- especially anything not requiring extensive financial outlay from the self-unemployed -- let me know.
