Maybe. My track record isn't great for Mother's Day and birthdays and that sort of thing. Email is better than a phonecall though, because otherwise I'll be forcefully reminded of the nagging financial doubts at the back of my mind.

Those pesky little worries notwithstanding, everything is going swimmingly. I pretty much haven't stopped smiling for the past two weeks. I feel like there are so many things I want to do, that my world (and it is finally mine again) is filled with opportunities and I just have to focus on some long enough to bring them to fruition. I'm sure weekly posts about how much I love my life now would get very tiresome, so let's just presume henceforth that I'm continuing to be thrilled with my move to freelance writing full-time, and I'll let you know if that changes.

Speaking of writing, a fellow Williams alum of mine is now With Tome. And attempting to maintain some semblance of anonymity among those unfamiliar with said individual.

And finally, it wouldn't be a Friday post if I didn't link my column. If you're as excited as I am about the McCain/Clinton gas tax holiday proposal, or if you like lollipops, then you should read it.
