I don't like V-day. Never have, never will. the_star_fish was out catsitting, so I didn't see her all day anyway. Which was fine, even though I do love her.

Also, I really love my other friends, like you. And I love that when I say that I need words to use in a column, many of you write back to me with words on short deadline. So, thanks. I love you guys. Even if you are rotten bastards who give me words that I had to look up and how the hell will my readers understand them if I had to look them up?

Ahem. I'm not really mad at you. I'm mad at the Transcript web editors for removing my formatting, thus removing the whole point of the column, namely that all the bolded words were things that had been thrown at me. I just hope the paper copy had it right; I'll check that out on Tuesday. Anyway, here's my Valentine's column, and if you sent me a word, it's in there. Yes, even that one.
