That's what people in North Adams will think. My hundreds of OEDILF submissions from last year? Long past. My weekly limericks for BBSpot? Unviewed. My local performances at the poetry slams for the last year, where I (to drop all pretense of modesty) rocked the house? Seen by few, lost to the winds of time.

So what happens at work? A co-worker said she saw me on TV, and it was giving the worst improv poetry performance of my life, mentioned in a previous post. Naturally, while all my brilliant improv poetry went unregarded, the one time recorded and replayed continuously on the local public access channel was the nadir of my performance career. I am displeased.

Naturally, I have resolved to do better next month. Also, for the past week, I've been freestyling with other nerdcore rappers over Skype every night. I'm no Eminem, but I think I may be slowly improving, though obviously it will take a bit. Local people to freestyle with would be best, but I have found none. To be fair, the Mikado production was amusing, and nobody drops rhymes like MC Gilbert (with DJ Sullivan).

Unrelatedly, I can has a [livejournal.com profile] the_star_fish! And if you want to hear about my college reunion and [livejournal.com profile] mhorai's baby, you should read last Friday's column.
