Yes, I deliberately left out the second comma, because what I am presenting here is a bifurcation between two television shows whose purpose is to entertain. Going home has its various downsides even before considering opportunity cost, but an upside is that my parents have a TV with Cable.

The Good: Curb Your Enthusiasm. I loved this show the first time I saw it, and still find it wonderful. I just relate so much to Larry David, who goes about his day and everything he does ends up being misinterpreted. He's a curmudgeon after my own heart, even if I don't think I'll ever be quite as petty as his character is. I also enjoy shows where the guest stars always play caricatures of themselves (see also: Extras). And situations like Larry David yelling at his wife because he sits down to pee and she left the toilet seat up when she threw up, they just make me laugh.

The Bad And The Ugly: The Half-Hour News Hour. Yes, I know I shouldn't expect much from a news show on Fox. Obviously, it's not going to be as good as the Daily Show, even if it's being pitched as a conservative counterpart thereto. But I figured I'd watch an episode anyway, because I enjoy mocking liberals just as much as I enjoy mocking conservatives. I'm a humorist first and foremost, and I gladly ignore all barriers of political correctness and will make fun of anyone and anything.
