Jan. 19th, 2007 12:54 pmArticles for you!
First, while the Transcript failed to post my New Years column to their website, they did post my column today. I really need to keep the archive at Risingpun.com more updated, but there's just one month left before my book deadline. This is why my updates here have been sparse, and my updates on RisingPun well-nigh non-existent. I need to redesign that site so the blog can have an RSS feed, but that's definitely an undertaking for after the book is in.
Secondly,
cybersattva points out a compelling article called How to Do What You Love, which I especially recommend to everyone trying to figure out what they're doing with their lives. This may well include most of us, even if
tsiarxof has just scored a new job animating for a video game company. (Congrats!)
Finally, though it's too late for most of us to do much about it,
g_me shares this opinion piece on why too many people are going to college. FWIW, I'd never trade my college years for 4 years of vocational training as a writer, but I'll admit that much of the time I didn't feel I was there for the courses.
Also, Wednesday Feb. 7 at Cafe Latino may be the final poetry slam at that location. It may well move out of walking distance for me after this, so if you wanted to see me at a poetry slam, that would be a good time.
