Poetry and Philosophy
Since
2h2o asked, the poetry slam went well, given the experimental nature of my performance. I decided to add more restrictions to my poems in addition to improvising. I led off with a poem about being sick from mayonnaise, ice cream, and sex. I followed with a limerick about frogs, a love sonnet to an albatross, Poem Four(this sole poem that don't take info from folk, just poem with four!), and a freestyle rap where I boasted of the virtue of myself and my beatboxer, as well as complaining about George Bush, Cigarettes, and Dr. Seuss (the last of which was actually not an audience suggestion). I'm glad that
the_star_fish, C., and
outsidetheparty could show up to see the show.
I am mainly sharing this comic because I immediately thought of
neurosophy when I saw it, and
winterborne also must read it. Though really, anyone who has studied philohophy and/or played D&D should appreciate it.
