The Search Continues
Sep. 14th, 2006 06:52 pmBack from Rhode Island last weekend, where my search for odd things around the state continues. I must admit, it's neat to go home and see all this cool stuff around Rhode Island that I never really appreciated while I was living there. Fun for the whole family, literally. Nonetheless, if I ever talk about taking on another book like this again, please tie me up until I regain my senses.
Speaking of search, a new search site called Blingo has launched that gives away lots of random prizes just for searching. I work at a dotcom so I'm used to ignoring "Free prize!" sites and banners. This seems legit though, because it uses the Google engine, and you can add it as a search option to your Firefox toolbar. Anyway, you can sign up right here, and then if you win a prize, I win one too. Easy, Free, &c.
Also, I've made myself a new website. Well, that's not quite true. I've made myself a "lens", which is what they call the templated sites over at Squidoo. I do like pretty much anything with squid in it. Sure, it's not laboriously hand-coded like RisingPun.com, but the best feature of My New Squiddy Page is that it includes an automated RSS feed of my newscast right under the introduction. Including this week's brand new episode. Which you should listen to.
I recently took an online personality quiz that described me as "Nuttier than a pecan pistachio peanut sandwich." And if you were bored, it's Thursday, so there's Tea at my house from 8:30 to 10:30, and you're invited.
