Filtered Fun
Jun. 24th, 2005 07:02 pmWell, I found out why the paper hadn't printed my column in weeks. I sent it at the beginning of the month. And again a week or so after that, and then I finally called this week and they said they'd never gotten it. I immediately emailed it; nothing. After a bit of discussion, I determined that their email system (much like some in our administration) seems to think that any commentary on certain subjects must be IMMEDIATELY DESTROYED! and hence filtered out before anyone can read about them. Finally, I printed it out and walked it over to the main office, where I handed it to the guy to type up manually.
Gads. I've waited so long for this column to appear that I feel compelled to share it with you.
However, I hope that linking to my own piece won't prevent your enthusiasm for one other link I'd like to share: A most excellent letter to the Kansas School Board. (
astroeph, you'll probably appreciate this because it's related to "Intelligent Design".
the_star_fish, now you'll understand I was using pirate-speak for the good of the world.)
